depends on the deal doesnt it?? the land must be worth an absolute fortune.
lets say they sell it to us for £350m, but we are already tied into a 99 year lease at the cost of £250m? over a 30 year mortgage they could easily afford it.

Surely would be madness from the owners' point of view to buy the stadium?
From their perspective they have what they want. Low overheads and long term loans to gain interest from.
The issues we (or most of us) have with the stadium are mostly irrelevant to them. As long as they get enough tickets sold that is all the confirmation they need to carry on as is.

Moses is everything thats bad in football.
On loan and did not care. His sole intention was to get back to Chelsea.
He got his wish and now plays like he cares.
A great example of why you never loan off bigger clubs. A proper club does not loan at all.

they're obvs not gonna pay the entire amount upfront.
not disimilar to paying rent over x amoutn of years.

few rumours on TWITTER that we are looking to buy the OS outright.
This would make sense for all parties........... apart from the athletics 'legacy' but im sure we could rent it to them.
Does anyone seriously expect either these or any future owners to spend 100's of millions buying a stadium
and then 100's more millions moving the fans closer to the pitch
